“Part arrived unfinished”.

The oil pump was not fully machined: the mounting bolt holes were not threaded, and the central hole had not even been drilled.
As the vehicle had already been off the road for several days and we could not make the customer wait even longer while we returned the part and waited for a replacement, we decided to machine the holes and cut the necessary threads ourselves so that we could install it.
In the end, we were able to install the pump, but I believe that a new part should arrive fully finished and ready to install. On top of that, because we had to correct a manufacturing defect ourselves, we have now lost the warranty on the part.

Everything came assembled and ready to go. Dropped the pan, swapped it out, filled it back up. Fires up and shifts crisp now. Can't beat the price for a complete unit.
