IInstalación:
La instalación tarda aproximadamente una hora con herramientas manuales básicas, y se realiza en el suelo de la entrada o el garaje. Es más rápida si tiene un elevador tipo automóvil. Podría ser necesario cortar para que se ajuste a configuraciones de caja/cabina con distancia entre ejes más corta. Quizás tenga que reutilizar algunos herrajes de fábrica.
Se requiere un sintonizador: La extracción del DPF, el catalizador, el SCR y/o el DOC implica la extracción y eliminación de los sensores de emisiones. Se requiere un sintonizador con capacidad para eliminar el DPF para evitar que se active la luz de verificación del motor o se activen códigos de diagnóstico de problemas.

Beneficios: Se espera un aumento significativo en el consumo de combustible. Si el DPF está obstruido, el consumo promedio probablemente sea de 13 a 14 mpg. Más o menos, dependiendo de la gravedad de la restricción. Tras eliminar el DPF/CAT, se espera un consumo combinado de 18 a 19 mpg.

2013 BMW 535ix F10 - 3.5” Turbo Catless Downpipe

I was a little skeptical at first about going with a smaller brand, but then I reminded myself that at the end of the day, it’s a downpipe. After receiving it, I was honestly impressed with the quality. The catless downpipe looks great, even though once it’s installed you’ll never really see it.

It arrived quickly, was packaged extremely well, and the installation was pretty straightforward. I didn’t run into much trouble during the install. I replaced the upper seal and the V-band clamp while I was in there, but honestly both of the original parts probably would have been perfectly fine to reuse.

One tip: make sure you install the O2 sensors in the same positions as they were on the factory pipe.

Overall, I’m really glad I bought this downpipe and I would absolutely buy it again. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to make their F10 catless. I even took a few side-by-side photos next to the factory catalytic converter for comparison.

If you’re on the fence about it, just buy it—you won’t regret it.

I also loaded the MHD Tuning Stage 2+ tune at the same time so I wouldn’t have a check engine light, along with a few other supporting upgrades.
