2007 Land Rover 2.4 EGR Valve & Cooler Blank Kit

The blanking plate that fits between the EGR valve and cooler is made from Laser cut 1.5mm Stainless Steel. The cooler plates are in 2mm Stainless, and has been rumbled to make it smooth and give it an abraded surface to get a better seal.
The MK7 and MK8 Transits suffer with leaking EGR Coolers. This can give the impression that the cylinder head gasket has blown. 2 things can happen. (1) the exhaust gasses leak into the engine coolant, which pressurize the system, blowing the water out. I know of quite a few engines that have been wrecked due to this problem. (2) water is forced into the inlet system when left standing, which can lead to hydraulic lock, which also wrecks the engine.
There are 2 different types of EGR Cooler. A round tube type and a Square section tube type. The kit has 3 plates, one to fit on the EGR valve end of the cooler, and 2 plate ( the big ones) so one can be fitted between the exhaust manifold and the EGR cooler. Only one is fitted that corresponds to the EGR cooler type.

Fitment:
It fit's the EURO 4 and 5 engines
MK7 Transit which came in from 2006, 2.2 and 2.4 TDCi PUMA engine ( Puma ZSD-422 and ZSD-424 ) and the 3.2L 5 cylinder.

1. Cleaner engine oil helping to give longer engine life
2. Turbo spooling up quicker, and at lower revs
3. Prevents soot build up in intake manifold, and valve's, which will lower the power
