Description:
This plate is Laser cut 2mm thick, soft Aluminium. It has been rumbled to make it smooth and give it an abraded surface that also helps give a better seal, plus removes all sharp edges.
If your engine management light come on now and then, or losing power, then the EGR valve is most probably to blame. It fit's the MK7 and Fit's between the egr cooler (gear box end) and the EGR valve. ?The EGR valve is not that easy to get at, so the plate is slotted to make it simple to fit. It is easier to get to from under the van on the rear wheel drive, were it has clear access on the rear wheel drive. ?The bolts just need to be loosened, the plate slipped in, the re-tightened. Please note that the EML (engine management light) will come on, but will not go into limp mode. When fitted, some times the EGR valve needs to be unplugged to get the right results. ?So as not to have the EML come on, the ECU would ?need to be reprogrammed not to use / look for the EGR valve.?
It does not fit on the mixer on the inlet manifold ( it looks like a valve). The engine will not start if you do!
